Import from a spreadsheet
Export your chart list as a CSV file and import that. Arcus does not need the columns in any particular order or under any particular names. It reads the header row, guesses what each column holds, and shows you the first few rows read back so a wrong guess is visible before anything is cast. Correct any column from the menu beside it.
A row needs a name and a birth date. Everything else helps and none of it is required:
- Coordinates. Latitude and longitude are the surest way in, since they need no lookup.
- A place name. If there are no coordinates, Arcus can look the places up for you at the review step. It takes about a second each.
- A time zone. Either an offset or a zone name. A file that carries an offset but no place still imports, and gives you the planets without houses.
- A Rodden rating, which carries across into the chart. A rating of X or XX also marks the chart as time unknown, since that is what those ratings say.
- The kind of chart, natal, event or horary, if the file distinguishes them.
