Arcus for your computer

Not sure which Mac you have?

Open the Apple menu at the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac.

Chip: Apple M1, M2, M3 or M4

You want the Apple silicon version. Every Mac sold since late 2020 is one of these.

Processor: Intel

You want the Intel version.

Downloading the wrong one is not harmful, it simply will not open, and you can come back for the other.

Windows will warn you once

When you open the installer, Windows shows a blue panel saying it does not recognise this app, and the only button on it is Don't run.

Choose More info, then Run anyway, and Arcus installs normally. You see this the first time you open each new installer, and never while using Arcus.

Chrome and Edge may also say the file is not commonly downloaded. Choose Keep, and open it.
