Guide Bringing your charts in

Importing charts from Solar Fire

Your charts are already in files Arcus can read. They end in .SFcht and sit in the charts folder Solar Fire saves into, which is the folder you see whenever you open or save a chart file. Copy the file somewhere easy to find and import it.

If your chart files are older ones ending in .Cht, convert them first.

  1. Go to Utilities, then Chart Import/Export.

  1. In the window that opens, go to the Options tab and choose to create current format chart files, v6 or higher.

  1. On the Import From tab, point at the old file. On the Save To tab, name the new one. Then click Convert.

Solar Fire can also write your chart data out as a text file, which is worth knowing if you want to see the data before it moves.

  1. Select the charts you want in the Calculated Charts list.
  2. Go to Chart, then Export Charts as Text.
