Extra rings on the wheel
Four rings are off by default. Turn them on when you want them:
- Bounds draws the bound lords as a ring, and you can add a table beside the wheel as well. You choose Egyptian or Ptolemaic bounds.
- Decans draws the faces and their lords. You can show the triplicity lords, the Chaldean lords, or both together.
- Degree ticks adds fine degree marks around the inside edge of the signs, which helps when you are reading close contacts.
- Planet ticks marks each planet's exact degree inside the planet band, so you can see where it sits without reading the number off the rim.
Two places control the rings. Settings > Wheel > Rings sets what every new chart starts with. Right-click the wheel (or long-press on a tablet) to change the rings for the chart you're on, and that choice stays with the chart. The right-click menu also lets you choose, for each ring, which points show and which take part in the aspects.
