Cast a new chart
Click New chart in the top bar. Enter a name, birth date, time, and place.
- Date. Type it however you like, "May 4, 1469" or "5/4/1469". There's a calendar if you'd rather pick a day. Old dates are handled on the correct calendar for you.
- Time. If you don't know the birth time, mark the chart as time-unknown. Arcus casts it at noon or sunrise, depending on your choice in Settings. You can add the real time later.
- Place. Start typing the town and pick it from the list. This sets the coordinates and the right time zone for that date, including historical zones.
- House system. New charts use your default from Settings. To use a different system for one chart, change it when you cast. Available systems: Placidus, Whole Sign, Equal, Alcabitius, Campanus, Koch, Morinus, Porphyry, Regiomontanus, Topocentric.
